Position Overview:

We are looking for a dynamic and customer-oriented Full-Time Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to pet owners, helping them find the best products for their pets, and maintaining an organized and inviting store environment. This position offers the opportunity to build relationships with customers and become part of a passionate, pet-focused team.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers with a warm and welcoming attitude, creating a positive shopping experience.
  • Assist customers in selecting pet products, offering personalized recommendations based on their pets’ needs.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of our extensive range of pet foods, treats, toys, grooming products, and accessories.
  • Ensure store shelves are well-stocked, neat, and organized.
  • Handle customer transactions at the point of sale, accurately processing cash, credit, and mobile payments.
  • Assist in inventory management, including receiving and stocking merchandise.
  • Keep up-to-date with store promotions and new product offerings, communicating these to customers.
  • Support online order processing, including packing and preparing orders for delivery.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure all customer needs are met, contributing to a smooth-running store environment.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets by providing exceptional service and fostering customer loyalty.
  • Participate in merchandising displays and contribute ideas for in-store promotions.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in animal care or related fields is a plus.
  • Previous retail or customer service experience preferred, especially in a pet store or similar environment.
  • Passion for pets and a genuine interest in helping customers find the best products for their animals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong work ethic, with attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs regularly, as part of stockroom and merchandising duties.
  • Flexibility to work a schedule that includes weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed.
